Welcome to Child Microscope
Looking for a child microscope? If you are a parent searching for an educational science gift for your kid, keep in mind that a microscope is a great gift idea. There are several types of microscopes for children. The most basic type is a compound light toy microscope. This is the common model found in toy stores. The optics are of basic quality, and can be rather disappointing oftentimes. It is usually recommended to increase your budget slightly and purchase a good bargain priced child microscope with decent optics.
A compound microscope for a child will generally be a monocular unit. This means it has only one eyepiece. The more expensive microscopes, for high school science classes for example, will generally be binocular and have two eyepieces for the biological specimen to be viewed with. A good quality kid microscope can be as simple as a 40x to 400x compound microscope with three objectives and a single monocular eyetube. If you pay enough money to upgrade out of the “toy microscope” classification, the optics can be surprisingly good. Of course this is not a high grade research microscope, but it will serve your child well in an elementary, secondary level, or high school science and biology class.
We offer a good range of different budget priced child microscopes for parents and educators to select from. Please contact us regarding your specific microscopy needs. We will be happy to review how our online microscope store can assist your child with finding a great educational tool.
